Making Memories!

We have kicked off school with lots of fun!

It has officially become a tradition.  Dinner at Golden Corral followed by 'The Halloween Store."
Last year, they had so much fun, all Niko wanted for Christmas was a Halloween Store.  I stayed home that time but had to tag along after all the hype!

Jan is a staple for this memory, so we timed it during her much anticipated visit.

For being such a fan, the displays still scare our little guy.  He much prefers the costumes and the immobile lawn ornaments.

These two went all in with the displays!

Here is where Niko got excited!

A big Jan fan! We all are!

Niko saw this guy, ran to the shelf, snatched him up and yelled, "I am DEFINITELY buying this!"  We couldn't resist.  He cradles it like a baby doll and calls it Nikolai.

Rock-a-bye baby with all the babies

Jan had to head home for Daisy's first birthday right before Grandparents' Day.  I sure didn't mind getting to be a special friend and seeing the sweet morning meeting Niko's class does each day.

Daniel was able to surprise Alexander and show up as his special friend.  Alexander's face was glowing when Daniel walked in the door.

It was fun having Daniel in the school sanctuary!

Soccer season has begun!
Daniel and I are coaching and our team, the Pumas, are pretty darn good!
We are 2-0, with Alexander having scored four goals and getting two stops as goalie.

Pep Rally fun!

I got to be mummified at our first pep rally by two of my sweet fifth grade ladies.  Our team won and I had no idea because they wrapped be up so well!

The next day, we headed out to The Big Bounce, the world's largest bounce house.
This was our third year going and it did not disappoint. Daniel and I definitely have as much fun as the kids.  The DJ really enjoyed Daniel's singing along to Tay-Tay, and one of the attendants laughed super hard when Daniel aimed a giant ball for him, and knocked me over instead.

Laughing, dancing, sliding, climbing, and of course jumping. This is what our family is all about!

The DJ was so impressed with Alexander's climbing skills, he worked it into his set!

We are off to a grand start to the school year.  Here we go!!
