Our Birthday Girl

 The princess is twelve!

Our first born is as spoiled as they come.  As is tradition, we celebrated her birthday by having friends over to grill out, giving her the bone of a t-bone steak, and too many treats.  Christine and fam came over and brought her even more treats, including a doggy apple cake. She loved it!
Waiting for the birthday song to end so she can have her t-bone

Such a lady

Zoey gave us a scare on Thursday, not wanting her morning walk, breakfast, or anything.  She was lethargic and was trembling.  It didn't seem like one of her seizures, as her eyes were tracking, but she was not doing well.  I was so scared driving home from school that afternoon as to what we might find.  Thankfully, she was energetic and back to her normal self!  Daniel decided she must have needed a reboot prior to turning twelve! Ha!

She has been here for each day of her brothers' lives.  Zoey is brilliant, snooty, and devoted.  She may not have quite the energy she did as a puppy, but she still demands at least three walks a day.  Her favorite toy is her duck and her favorite person is Alexander.  She comes to me for her morning walk and attention, and counts on Daniel for the after dinner walk.

She's the one in the middle, squishing her sibling to get more attention

We used to run her twice a day, take her to this dog park for an hour every day, swim her in our pool and she would still want to play whenever we sat on the couch

The best big sister

Here's to many more years with our darling princess.

Here are some fun videos from her rescue group:

A sweet goodbye before the school day starts

These two lit up the school dance!

I absolutely loved the pictures, videos, and stories I received from the dance.  No surprise that my boys had the best time and exuded style, joy, and an amazing father-son bond.  I'm glad our Village got to glimpse Alexander and Daniel in their natural habitat!

Go Raptors!

Alexander made two foul shots and two in game shots to help his team finish an undefeated season

At the start of the season, I was worried this team would struggle, and yet they pulled off a perfect season.  Undefeated, with mutliple games ending in the scoreboard being shut off from the mercy rule
