May is the Month for Memories and Mayhem

We have had a May worthy of all its nicknames: May-os, Maycember, Mayhem, and all the memories that go along with it. Here is our month in photo blog form!

We started May apart. Daniel and me in Vegas, separately, to lay the groundwork for our future. My travels were as May-otic as they could safely be on both ends of the trip. This left me with little energy and fighting to catch-up as we swung full force into all May promised!

Daniel stayed in Vegas for nearly the whole month, getting training complete for the job handover. Thankfully Jan and Gammie tag teamed most of the month to help save my sanity!

Fun before the preschool musical

Our boy sang his heart out!

Jumanji night!

These two

My big one

Oh what fun the teacher talent show was. And oh what memories this special lady and I have. She was my first connection at Village, during new hire training, and her kids Alexander's first Village friends.

We may all feel ready for retirement after this month!

My big one and me at a garden party

Leaving a garden party for a gun battle party

Shot in the lip and still smiling!
This guy was about the only five year old left with dry eyes, but we thought this party was a BLAST!

Scrabble with Gammie

My sweet mama

May the Fourth be with You takes on a whole new meaning with all May threw at us this year!

Gaby and my last PE field trip together!
I have learned so much from her. Senora Saenz is a fabulous Spanish teacher, but her wealth of knowledge in PE is unmatched. We made a great team and I am going to miss her dearly!

Zoey had to hide in my office for the one and only showing we have had on our house so far. If you know someone moving to Fayetteville, NC.... just sayin'!

El Burrito for Taco Tuesday
We are going to miss this place. They don't even hand us menus anymore, just ask if our order will be the same

My baby graduated preK this week, and while I am so excited to have him as my student, I'm not certain I'm ok with him growing up so fast!

Little monkey smashed a whole cupcake in his mouth at the graduation pool party

Alexander accomplished so much in third grade, not the least of which was a huge growth in maturity. He may have jumped on the stage for his Art award for the Third Grade overall, completely bypassing the stairs, but at least that provided comedic relief in a ceremony that stretched perhaps a bit too long.

Our beautiful Mrs. Thompson officially retired! She deserves a tiara and a sash every day!

What a team

Special visits made my day better today!

Niko loves his preK teachers so much. This was a hard day for him. He asked me, "Can't they come to Las Vegas and be my Kindergarten teachers?"

What a team!!!

Third grade group pic!

I have a feeling this guy will make it out for a Vegas visit!
I have truly enjoyed working under Mr. Burnette's leadership.

Our final walkout from the gym

We wrap up this amazing year on Daniel's birthday. In true May fashion, I completely forgot Sunday was our twelfth anniversary (Daniel sent me a text saying 'Happy legal commitment day,' but honestly, I thought that had something to do with athletes committing to a school....). Luckily, he flew back home and we are celebrating his birthday as a family of four. It makes the goodbyes of today just a little easier.

Creeper Birthday Brownies!

The torch candle would not go out!

Birthday Lunch!
El Burrito, of course

May-Os continues, but I wanted to take a breather and enjoy all the blessings we have felt thus far.
