Escape Room DIY

Our close friend, Jonathan, turned the big 3-0 on Father's Day

Though we all went out to dinner to 'celebrate' this milestone, his wife, Karlee, had something bigger up her sleeves.

Karlee used our workout room to set up an elaborate Star Wars themed escape room as part of a surprise birthday party

She spent weeks planning and configuring the amazing set up.  I will claim only the smallest bit of credit in assisting her...she bounced ideas off of me, so that counts, right??  It was so well planned out, and Jonathan had no idea!

With a record breaking time of 39 min and 49 seconds, this incredible team escaped successfully!

After the group escaped successfully, we put Daniel on the grill and enjoyed burgers and brats

Jonathan failed at his family's birthday tradition (staying silent while eating birthday cake), and thus had to sit under the table...

We were so glad that Scarlett and Tyler brought their boys to play!  Alexander thought they were so cool!  He imitated everything they did, and all three boys did great with taking turns and sharing!

Also, this weekend, Daniel and I went out with my new work family from ERA American Real Estae to participate in Feed the Need- packing food for hungry kids

It was a huge event and a lot of fun.

Birthday and Father's Day

We had a blast celebrating Kiera's second birthday!

All the littles loved water play in a break from the rain, even Zoey!

Alyssa and James even had a pinata all the way from their hometown in Texas

The kids loved hitting the pinata, but weren't too sure as to why they were doing so.  This thing would not break!  After we all bashed into it, we finally made a small  hole to let all the awesome candies and treats out.

Kiera got very cool arts and crafts presents to foster her incredibly creative spirit

After delicious food from Moe's, we sang and ate Curious George cupcakes

The next day was Father's Day

We started the celebration with a super heroes themed workout led by Karlee-she kicked our tails!

Though the class is Stroller Strides, this little guy did not want to stay in his stroller...

That evening, we went out to the Crab Shack with Karlee and Jonathan

It was a great way to celebrate two great dads!

Daniel's mom also celebrated a birthday on Father's Day.  Happy birthday, Grandmomma!

Best Week Ever! Daddy's HOME!

We are a complete family again and could not be happier!

I was just a little excited

Though I choose not to share pictures of Daniel in work uniform, the videos of Potatoes and Zoey's reunion with their daddy are priceless.

Both little Martin's had zero trouble warming up to their daddy after nearly four months.

Alexander promptly gave him a kiss on the cheek, and then followed him around saying, "daddy, daddy, daddy!" whenever Daniel put him down.

Lots of daddies came home on the same day!

Neither Daniel nor I can believe that I did this alone!  They are a needy duo, and want to be played with CONSTANTLY.  I think they know their daddy is a bit of a sucker, and will always play with them if they ask hard enough.

We have had so much fun being a full family of four again!!!

We have pretty much stayed outside in every moment without rain.

Lauren hung out with Xander while we were to Pensacola for a Blue Wahoos game

Daniel surprised Potatoes with a bouncy basketball goal to give him an outlet for some of his enormous energy reserve

Despite all the fun we've been having, these littles can't get enough daddy time!!!

We are so very blessed to have such a wonderful man to call husband and father.
