Road Trip- Atlanta and Orlando

We are currently on day three of our cross country trek to the next stage of our lives, but before this, the Martin crew had some fun in the southeast!

Alexander and I headed to Atlanta for a sprinkle for Little Brother.
Rachel threw an AMAZING sprinkle, amidst many last minute changes....our moving date moving up, my poor communication over invites, and a change of venue less than 24 hours before!
It could have been chaos, and yet it was absolutely beautiful.

I was overwhelmed by the love shown for our coming baby, and the sweet big brother gifts for Alexander.

Shelly embarked lots of Boy Mom tips, as our boys will have a similar age difference to hers.  She made me feel so hopeful for the relationship that will form and the love that we will be welcoming!

We took advantage of our last easy road trip to Atlanta with plenty of climbing at the Spiderman-ish playground by Gammie's house

He asked me to climb with him, and this pregnant mama made it to the top- twice!

He always loves Gammie's storytelling skills

Aunt Heidi took us to our first baseball game
It was HOT, but all the games in the kid zone were free, so we took some good breaks in the shade

We left Atlanta to head down to Orlando.
Now that Potatoes went through a growth spurt and was "big for the Slinky Dog," we knew we had to get one more Disney World trip in before we left the Southeast

The drive about did me in and caused some pregnancy complications, so our first day, at Blizzard Beach, I stayed mostly relaxing under a big umbrella in a comfy cozy beach chair while the guys explored the park

Potatoes was scared at first, and they only rode one ride in the first hour, dealing with a stubborn three year old, but after lunch, I started feeling baby wiggle a lot and Potatoes was feeling more brave, so we all enjoyed a bit more action!

His favorite was this racing ride.  He proudly announced that he beat Ahgo to anyone who cared to listen

Just two dudes

There were some easy rides that I was able to enjoy

Our second day took us to Hollywood Studios, with our first stop being Slinky Dog.

They measured Potatoes THREE times, and were quite aggressive in making sure he was indeed big enough.  He passed every time, and we made it to the front of the line in less than 45 minutes!
He was SO excited!  We made it to the front car, and the sweet British couple ahead of us relinquished their front row spot, taking the third row instead, so that Alexander and I could be in the very first seats, with Daniel and Ahgo behind us.

It was about the only ride I did that day, and one I refused to pass up.  The memory of his joyful face is priceless!

We took breaks from the heat with shows and meals with Mickey and friends and just really had a great time.

Ahgo had to leave that evening to get back in time for the bag drop for his big work trip.
The next day was Daniel's birthday, so instead of hitting the road, we decided to check out Disney's other waterpark, Typhoon Lagoon.

Overall, it was a fabulous trip with lots of memories made.

Once back in town, we hit the ground running with preparation for a very difficult day.
