Amazing Aunt Robin!

It has been a few years since we have seen Aunt Robin, and the Martin Crew could not have been more excited!

We started the week with baking Robin's favorite cake from childhood as a group: strawberry with strawberry icing.  It was delicious!

The boys took no time warming up to Aunt Robin.  They were so excited, Niko refused to come downstairs each morning until Alexander told him Aunt Robin was awake.

They stayed snuggled up whenever possible

Until they realized the sliding door was a bit dirty and needed a quick clean

We spent the beautiful days hiking

We explored tunnels and fossils at Tule Springs

Niko found a new best friend

We had a blast at Isaac's birthday party!

At first, Niko was being shy and clung to his 'Aunt Wobin'

Once we got outside, Nikolai was eager to try out all the rides and quickly came out of his shell

I joked that if Robin walked off with Niko, no one would question her.
They ahve the exact same hair color!

This dragon has been here for 30 years.  Miles's dad, Eric, said it was here when he had a birthday party here as a kid!  Niko kept his hands up the whole time.

Daniel and Alexander got the fastest go kart every time and left everyone in their dust!

We all crashed hard after our morning hike and the party.

We were ready to get back out the next morning, though.
We had so much fun at Red Rock

No matter how many times we hike here, it always amazes me!

We found water!

Robin found a narrow pass that only Alexander could traverse

We made it a true Vegas visit by taking in a show

We went to see Shin Lim's Limitless magic show.  It did not disappoint!

Robin also got to see Alexander in Taekwondo a few times.  I have to say, five time black belt Master Tony is an incredible instructor.

Robin and I spent President's Day exploring the strip with the highlight being the Chinese New Year display at the Bellagio gardens.

We had to say goodbye to Robin on Tuesday, 2-22-22, and just to plant her nephews in her mind forever, we sent her off with her two year old nephew in a tutu!

This trip was one we will cherish and I am so grateful that it worked out so well.  We cannot wait to spend more time with Aunt Robin!
