Family Wedding Fun

We begin our summer with a trifecta of love, joy, and memories!

First stop, Reno, NV to see my stepsister, Carla, marry her travel and adventure love, Gabe.

It had been too long since we have seen Papa and Grandma Jay.  The boys literally sprinted through the airport to snag the first hugs.

Our first two days consisted of soaking up Grandma Jay and Papa attention, hiking at Lake Tahoe, swimming, and a bit of jet lag.
He has Papa's eyes, looking cute in Papa's glasses!

Jetlag got us all a bit in the beginning.  We woke up at 3:30am to make it across country for a three hour time change.  No one slept on our two flights.

Niko needed ALL the snuggles, and Papa was happy to oblige.

We found a great little park down the road from the resort.

I let Alexander climb anywhere we found, and we found some great spots

My dancing little love.

We took a road trip to Lake Tahoe on a suggestion from Daniel.  It did not disappoint!

Stopped on the side of the mountain road because, well, snow!! In June!!

Snow wall!

Lunch by the Truckee River

Drinks by the pool!
Cute boys that they are, the bartender gave them free drinks as he was closing   I was very proud that they both showed huge gratitude for the gift.

We scoped the scene of Carla's wedding and discovered a dinosaur park!

And a tractor yard

Niko is very into taking pictures and videos just for daddy.  He was so glad we snapped this one for Daddy before losing his purple nail while swimming.

Uncle Ryan flew in on Friday! The boys have so much love for family and were immediately attached to his side.

The next day was the wedding.
My dad's brother, Uncle Peter came! I have not seen him since I was Alexander's age.  He is one cool guy! I hope Daniel and I can go diving with the scuba legend someday!

The wedding was gorgeous!

Proud mother of the bride.
Jay handled many (many) things on the day of, and the result was one of the most beautiful, relaxed, and joyful celebrations of love I have expexperiences.

The vows

My dad was teary-eyed.  A proud dad, foe sure!

Brothers catching up

The Koi pond really kept the boys' attention

The reception was a blast!

Bounce house wedding!

Family Photo!

Ladder Ball

We explored the resort arcade foe our last morning.  Multi-player, multi-puck air hockey was favorite!

It was a hard goodbye, but hopefully a See you soon!

Now on to the next chapter of our summer kick-off

Vegas, baby!
