We had a fabulous time celebrating Nikolai's fifth birthday!
He wanted a Godzilla and King Kong party, so we held it at The Climbing Place so the kids could climb like Kong.
We waited until Daniel was home to have the party, and I am so glad we did! I got to spend time with the kids and the parents, and did very little of the backstage stuff. Daniel took care of all the things!
Nikolai has become quite the climber!
Such a joyful spirit
We had a great turnout and loved celebrating with our sweet friends
We are slowly opening the presents Nikolai received, enjoying each one individually before opening another
The whole family has enjoyed playing with new toys
His Lego skills have come so far!
Milestones
Nikolai is always smiling!
He loves deeply and wants to snuggle constantly
He is developing his athleticism, becoming a force on the soccer field, gaining speed in his run, and overall increasing his gross motor capabilities
He is learning lots of sight words, but is impatient with using letter sounds to sound out words he doesn't know by heart
He loves the Dragon Masters and I Survived book series
He is always included with Alexander and his friends, even the ones that are much older than Alexander. His relationship with his brother involves a lot of bickering unless other people are around, when they suddenly become best friends.
He puts his feet on everything and still uses baby talk, both of which drive Daniel and me crazy!
He has dropped his nap at home, but will usually still fall asleep during the school nap time.
He is a great eater, loving fruits and salad, but is not always the most adventurous with new foods, and he hates spicy!
He is generally happy and smiling and brings so much joy to our Crew.
He is already planning his next birthday party, and much to my amusement, says he wants a CocoMelon party! He loved CocoMelon when he was a baby, but hasn't watched it at all for the last three years, so I have no clue where this came from.
