This has been a power week for the Martin Crew!
Adding Field Day to holy week meant this has definitely been the biggest week in my year, and despite the work that goes into it, I truly loved every minute!
I've never hosted a field day without the help of my amazing mom. She did every school pick up last week so I could stay late preparing. She did school drop off so I could go in early. She took care of dinners and ran my first aid tent for the third year in a row. And here she is, still smiling, as she got to catch up with Niko for his resurrection egg hunt.
As my finale event at Village, this was the biggest and best field day ever!
I love getting to see the smiles on the field
Niko's egg hunt was conveniently planned for between my two field day sessions
It will be so great when he is in kinder next year!
Praying we can all be in the same school together.
The night before field day, these troopers went with me for the inflatable set up. They got a preview bounce, and were so patient as I was there until nearly 9:30pm!
We spent Good Friday rock climbing, hanging out with friends, digging holes, and hunting eggs.
Alexander managed to use every letter for a 50 point bonus on Scrabble with the word canopies. Gammie and I never caught up after a third round 74 point word!

Decorating Eggs before going to see King of Kings on Holy Saturday
We woke up on Easter to hearing Zoey getting into things. She ate a ton of chocolate and some caramel. Luckily she has an iron gut so I was more mad than worried.
The boys had baskets full despite their troublesome sister.
Bubbles and a 2n1 Minecraft sword and pick axe
Easter Legos, of course
They got a snow cone machine!
After church, Jan and I got to work fixing Sunday lunch
which included Alexander's classic turkey leg
