Giving Thanks

We may not have gotten any family pictures on Thanksgiving, but we sure our thankful this year!

On Tuesday before Thanksgiving, Grandpa came in for a visit and to bring Grandmomma home
These two have a relationship that simply cannot be described.  For two straight days, they created new games and had new adventures and made memories to last a lifetime.

Grandmomma sneaking in some snuggles before heading out

After eleven weeks of various company, Thanksgiving day marked our first day of Nikolai's life without company at our house.  While we loved seeing friends and family over the past three months, it is refreshing to begin to work out our new normal with our new little one.
These two make every day more fun

Alexander was thrilled to get his own fuzzy suit!

On Thanksgiving day, we went over to Bryan's house and enjoyed friends and food and fun with Bryan and his parents

Bryan's parents have two boys and may have spoiled our boy just a little bit while we were there!

Nikolai soaked up the snuggles, and slept most of the day

The effect of the turkey hit this little guy indirectly in a big way!

Milestones:
Nikolai is smiling more and more
He loves dangling toys and his mobile, and will even whack a toy every now and then
During tummy time on my stomach, he will scoot up to be face to face with me
He sleeps on a schedule of his own accord, waking at midnight and at 3am, with his witching hour being between 4 and 5 am
He thinks his big brother is hilarious
Nikolai has mild hip dysplasia due to being breech.  We have had two ultrasounds and are waiting to find out if it is correcting itself or will require a harness.  The harness is supposed to be fairly easy on baby with great results, but of course we are hoping to avoid it.

We have gotten cold in Vegas!  The mountains have the most beautiful snow cover and we have even spotted some flurries.

All smiles

Alexander's art skills are progressing in a big way!
